Creating a Class Information Page

Any one can create a class website here on hooveralumnisd.org and we encourage you to place your information here rather than some temporary site.

Before starting decide how much information you want to post and how you want to organize it. Use the Class of '74 page as an example of a large amount of data. You can rearrange and add things later, but it easier to set things up properly the first time. It is also ok to buthe skeleton for a class site, but not have any content on the pages. This will allow others to add content and organize it properly.

Typical things you might want to include are:

  • List of Missing Classmates
  • Memoribilia
  • Memorial List
  • Images from reunions
  1. Log on the the website.
  2. Go to the Information by Class Year.
  3. Select Add child page.
  4. Create a title like Class of 'xx. This page should be the top level or prime starting point for your content. From here you will be able to create a single page of content or link multiple pages to this top level page. See the other class pages for examples of organization and content.
  5. Create the content as described in this article Authoring Content.
  6. Use the Preview button to see a previoew of the page or use Save to commit the page.
