Dollars for Scholars Recipients 2008
A total of $20,500.00 in Scholarships were awarded June 4.2008 to twenty one students. The awards were presented by Virginia Welch Class of '38, Minta Ricard Class of '48 and Gus Gesler Class of '43. All monies for these scholarships were contributed by the Alumni Association, The Hoover Foundation and interested community leaders and Alumni and National Dollars For Scholars.

Each year applications for scholarships are made available in January and have to be returned to the counseling office by the first Friday in May. Each application is screened and the finalists are presented to the Dollars for Scholars review committee. Each student is interviewed, and depending on funding, the final group is chosen based on scholarship, personal needs and life goals. 80% of alumni dues goes to this program.
