What is a Class Contact?

Do you have an hour or so a month? Do you want to talk with your old Hoover Classmates? If so consider volunteering as a class representative for your graduation year. We especially need volunteers where there are no representatives, and we can always use a backup if there is already a class representative.

So what do you have to do?

  • First, becoming a class representative doesn't mean you have to be in charge of any reunion. Many people do, but that is not a requirement.
  • The primary task is track contact information for your classmates as it changes.
  • You have to be willing to have your phone number published on the alumni web site; otherwise how is someone supposed to get you the information to change?
  • A computer is not required, but it is easier to do this job with a computer. The Alumni Association will give the current list of classmates, all you have to do is keep it up to date.
  • As the class representative, you must keep your contact information current with us and make sure the web site always has the correct phone number for you.
  • You must be a member of the Hoover Alumni Association.
  • Each September you need to contact Laura Lou Jorgenson (619-562-9715) and renew your interest in the position.
  • Also each September, you should send a copy of your database or records to Laura Lou Jorgenson so the Alumni Association has a backup and current copy of the information.
  • If you leave the Alumni Association or decide not to continue as the class representative, you must turn over a copy of your database or records when you leave.

We hope you will consider joining us in keeping up the spirit of Hoover High School. all of you Cardinals, it is a very rewarding job and very little work is involved for this critical function.

Your primary contact is Laura Lou Jorgenson, other class representatives and this web site.
